Just Another Monday Whiteboard Madness

[Advanced Warning: For me the month of September is a month filled with reflection; ghosts of the brooding type. You'll have to bear with me. ]

In college free pizza via the various campus organizations was a blessing for my budding (and poor) engineering cohorts. “Are you here for the Association of Student Scientologists?” “Um, yeah sure. Praise Zeenod-Bleep-Bloop or whatever. Where’s the food? ”

In those days even whiteboards were pricey extras for those like me who were trying to hold down multiple side jobs to make ends meet. The dorm windows provided a workable (and cheap) solution – the dry erase markers came right off the glass surface, the windows were nice and big, and it looked damn hardcore for new visitors. There was a downside – once the sun went down the light blue South Dakotan backdrop against which colored market could be seen disappeared. It provided great incentive to get work done before the text dissolved into a starry night.
